I feel and see many of the symptoms described in this essay. Each day I wake up depressed and the things I pray for do not manifest. The outside and the inside are sour and I am bitter, angry and my body is tense all of the time. I know I am part of God, yet I feel that my past is nagging at me and dragging me into Hell. I can't seem to let go of it. I want to be free from this depression and from this horrible, tormenting mind. I want to be free. I have no enthusiasm for life and no energy to give to others. I know all of this, yet, what should I do? I have reached out for help time and time again, but I feel like the drowning man who pulls others into the water. I don't know how to "just have faith" or to "believe in myself" anymore. I used to. Now I just feel bitter and angry, but nobody wants to hear about that. I really want to change and I don't know how.

I feel it…this wonderful essence. I feel it. And by your words, little fragments of doubt were washed away in little teardrops. It’s and undying spring in my heart, now that I’ve discovered Love. By your words, you have reminded me. The wonderful essence. The beauty of it.

The plant is green for everyone because it represents to us that all we need is light/love/energy of the universe to help us grow and prosper. We have that light already, regardless of our belief system.

Yes, this must be true.
So what of us who are in the midst of the depressive darkness and are praying all of the time? Is God determining when we will be released from this darkness or are we misaligned with Spirit? I like that most of the responses are praise for the writer and I’d like to see some from those like me who are within the tunnel of depression and can’t find the way out, and not for lack of trying. I certainly appreciate the help and the prayer. I found my way to this page. I will continue to walk, as it were, and to seek the correct path from this darkness. Please pray for me.

This knowledge makes us the rich - the richest - but the comprehension of our inherent prosperity comes with the age and therefore the saying goes the aged are like child. The newborns wrestle with life to grasp the true success needs nothing to reach, but the gratitude to accept the precious gift.
The white headed quit worry for tomorrow - they had no more time for such selfishness and are totally involved in sharing the sunbeam - that’s one and only business. And its wow! While smiling we never become weary.

Your thoughts are truly inspirational and I can certainly see truth in them. Some us us search for truth and some us search for other things that we want to name as truth. But facts and truth are two different things. It is inspiring and refreshing to finally read words that speak truth of the human spirit; your spirit. I wish that I was on your level; and i feel myself getting there sometimes, but I often fall short of the goal. Thanks for reminding me that I am not alone. Again, my friend…..pass it on . . .

Amen. I know this is true, because I have been through many seasons and reasons. Like a mother to her child, God never really abandons us, but sometimes simply gives us lessons and challenges for which he/she wants us to overcome and to make us stronger; to build upon what we already have, what He has already provided and use it wisely.
