Question: Many times and while on the spiritual path, we are told that it is necessary to abandon all desire or material aspiration if we want to find God.
My former couple told me that we would be together for two years and then
he would move away from everything to reach a higher state of
consciousness. In
this way, I started neglecting the things that I called merely terrestrial
to be devoted to my readings, meditation ,prayers and work. Without
realizing, the time lapsed and my soul continued empty. I forgot how to
struggle to carry out my dreams and I realized that I had not advanced
spiritually. My question to the Spiritual Teacher is: Does it
exist or not a conflict between my spiritual search and my aspiration for
a better and fuller life for my family and myself? Do I have to deprive
myself of everything to reach God? Do I have to continue denying my
desires to be more spiritual.
Answer : This is an
answer to such interesting question and thank you, thank you very much
for the opportunity of explaining and developing what certainly seems as
an insurmountable
abyss between
the natural man and the Divinity of God, while in the middle there is a
path which seems extremely rigid, sad and with great restrictions and
even guilt.
In order to
understand the spiritual path, is necessary to believe in God, and to be
able to believe in God, is necessary to love, and to be able to love, is
necessary to inter connect with the universe around us and of course,
this particular, is very important.
Science and
man's behavior must be perfectly lined up with God's will and this will
is sacred and all powerful and by principle, it loves individual
freedom, in an absolute form.
Man is born
and becomes conscious, that is to say, becomes more conscious, in order
to become wiser, when he chooses to distinguish with clarity, between
good and evil.
God is in
an inevitable and wonderful way, lasting unconditional love. God is
then, Supreme Good, and He does not want pain, suffering, ignorance or
slavery for us.
God loves us
because love decrees it that way. He wants us to be completely happy.
His intention for us is that we get to know Him, but of course, by been
ourselves, and accepting Him and receiving Him, and also to all our
fellow beings. To love is not a sacrifice, to serve is not a
restriction. God has
established kingdoms and differences, substances, elements, essences,
consciousness and intentions, differences and positions, as well as
mountains and plains, spaces, sidereal and immortal heavens.
God is life,
God loves life. There is no spirit of death, in Him, but of justice and
permanence.
He wants that
we grow in grace and that we arrive to the authority of been free from
any evil.
Good, never
places limits to what's good. Truth does not contend with life and
certainly, there are no conflicts between heaven and earth. Since God by
been and in virtue of creation, is life in all life.
Does He want
to restrict our path perhaps? If, He is the beginning and the end of
every destiny, how would God want to antagonize man, who he
created, since He knows all the events, incidents, plans, paths, ways.
And God
said "Grow and multiply" (From Genesis)
If we find so
much understanding and wisdom, then, is not possible to think that God
is a God of suffering, restriction or negation.
God is
tender, God is perfect and He never lies to us.
For what
purpose, He would create us, in order to hurt us?
God is
forgiveness, God is guidance. God is God.
Now, to
clarify all this confusion: God is new life, God is resurrection, God is
eternity and salvation.
About these
last words: What is their real meaning? Means
that God wants our good, that we receive the glory of his love, and that
we don't fall in the mistake of selfishness, discrimination, evil and
destruction. There is a difference between unconditional love, as the
love that exists in a family and love which is not love, but only desire
by desire. If we love the love of the senses, we'll never be satisfied,
we will become addicted to passion while believing that we are in
control. But the
truth is that we don't have control, but we are losing it.
Of course,
the spiritual path is against, selfishness, adultery, abortion, lies,
theft, idleness and so many things that are product of a selfishness
that despises life. This is
the only thing, that we have to understand with wisdom, because God
understands our body limitations and for that reason, he
spiritually strengthens our hearts.
This is an
extraordinary subject, about which much have been said and will be said,
but these are simple reflections.
Is perhaps
sanctity the path to suffering, if when praying, evil goes away?
But if giving
with abundance and by serving, give me the ability to recognize the value
of gratitude, of my human family and universal family, then, I conclude
that there are no restrictions..
Here now,
life is, of course, order and discipline, balance and prudence.
Do we allow a
child to do as he chooses?
let's ask ourselves, do we
allow him to play or come near something that can hurt him?
On the contrary, we protect him, even with our lives. It is said and
written: "
If a son shall ask
bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?"
It is clear,
then, that the maximum father is the Supreme Creator, He reveals His
Presence in the consciousness of our acts, and when we receive Him as
True Love.
He also has
said, to love our fellow beings. This is not the case with our couple,
our children, neighbors, our earth, the sea, the sky, since we live in a
sphere of life.
To learn how to
be and how to care for and also to honor love, is just and true. God has loved
man so much that He has revealed the truth about Himself, the spiritual
path.
Human life is
not set in opposition, since man is of spiritual nature, and life itself
is a spiritual path. Peace is not only an ideal, but it is the practice of
living that fundamental action by loving.
Strengthen
this knowledge and this experience, since the whole life is sacred and
divine, because if God sustains everything in existence, then the path
of life, the spiritual path will always be and is the path of love.
More Questions
Q: Could you please explain to me how to acquire knowledge or wisdom? I have been for years now, studying esoteric, mystic and spiritual books. Also assisting to as many events, conferences and workshops as I could find and I have discovered and understood many things but when I have to act, my behavior is much different of what supposedly I have learned. Q: We are used to say that when something happens, God is responsible. We question God about our illnesses or accidents or about everything that happens to us and sometimes we even resent Him. We seldom are grateful for the good that we receive.
I saw your site and I liked it so much that I have decided to write to you asking for an answer. I am a person who does volunteer social work at different hospitals and clinics and there is a question that I continuously listen to from the patients: Why has God punished me? Some resent and even move away from God. I would like to have your advice about what should I say to them?
